Dr Salome Gurgenidze (MD, Georgia), an HPCSA (Health Professional Council of South Africa) registered General Practitioner with a special interest in Aesthetic Medicine, is renowned for her ability to combine her medical knowledge with the practical experience she has built up over the years.

Dr Gurgenidze is a medical doctor who has experience in various fields of medicine. After studying to become a medical doctor in Georgia, she came to South Africa in 1994 to escape political turmoil in her home country.

She then went on to convert her qualification to register as a medical doctor in South Africa, while working as a registered nurse at Garden City Clinic and Randburg Medicross Clinic. After successfully passing her Medical Board examinations, she later became an intern and then medical officer at Johannesburg General Hospital from 2004-2008, gaining experience in the areas of general surgery and internal medicine; as well as trauma, anaesthetics, endocrinology, amongst other disciplines. Following the examinations for foreign candidates for full registration at WITS medical school, Dr Gurgenidze practiced as a GP in private practice for few months.

It was her passion for the Arts that made the field of medical aesthetics so attractive for Dr Gurgenidze. She has completed a number of training programs and diplomas in aesthetic medicine locally and internationally, including Advanced Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine (South Africa). After completion of level1 and level 2 of American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine and after successfully passing exams she has attained Board Certification with this prestigious academy. From the end of 2008 Dr Salome Gurgenidze has been practicing full time in Medical Aesthetics.

Dr Gurgenidze presents at and attends South African and International congresses and training courses to keep up with the latest trends in the field.

She is a member of AAMSSA.

Dr Gurgenidze is married with two children.

Her special interest in psychology, the neurophysiology of facial expressions and behavioural science, helps Dr Gurgenidze work with her patients to achieve a fresh, natural look that enhances their natural beauty without losing their individuality and charm.

Dr Gurgenidze offers a holistic approach to aesthetic medicine that focuses on bringing out a person’s authentic character and inner radiance.

In her practice she combines cosmeceuticals; chemical peels; injectable treatments (including Botulinum toxin, dermal fillers, Platelet Rich plasma Therapy, skin boosters, mesotherapy), Thread lifting and light therapy to achieve the best results.

Ms Molemo Manala is a young and ambitious Somatologist who qualified as a skincare and body therapist with ITEC and CIDESCO in 2015 at Madge Wallace skincare and body therapy collage.

She continued her study of medical Aesthetics at Madge Wallace in 2016.

She worked as a skin care and laser therapist at the Laser Beautique while she was completing her studies. Her international qualifications lead her to work on the international cruise ships in a spa where she specialized as a facial Therapist which was an amazing experience and an opportunity to improve her skincare knowledge.

In 2017 she Joined the Aesthetic Essentails team with Dr Salome Gurgenidze, within the aesthetics world. She has a huge passion for the aesthetics industry where she wants to break boundaries and help people take better care of their skins and overall health.

Molemo Exhibits exceptional skills in treatments that will improve the skin and show visible results, treatments such as dermapen/Needling, mesotherapy, chemical peels as well as cellulite treatments. Molemo is well spoken and confident in her knowledge of skincare and products and always makes an effort to know more. She believes that Everyone should invest in themselves because nobody can take that away from you.

Miss Robyn-Ann Van Schalkwyk is a qualified Somatologist that graduated with her ITEC and CIDESCO qualifications. She studied at Madge Wallace Int College of Skincare and Body Therapy. She then went on to work at The Laser Beautique. She craved more growth and inspiration and joined Dr Salome Gurgenidze and the Aesthetic Essentials team.

Aesthetic medicine gives opportunities to treat aging and compromised skin with advanced techniques to get the best results. Robyn is continuously gaining knowledge in different aspects of the continually developing field to add to her skill set. This allows her to treat clients to the best of her ability by incorporating all of the knowledge and skills she has learnt from different trainings.

Robyn’s passion lies with treatments such as chemical peels, Mesotherapy and advanced skincare. While studying, she fell in love with makeup and has combined that with her love for Aesthetics through the art of Microblading.
