Thread insertion will be performed under local anesthesia. The procedure is not painful. You will fill needle pricks for local anesthetic injections. You may have slight pain a few days after the procedure. The doctor will prescribe painkiller medications to make you comfortable.
Results are dependent on the type of Threads used as well as the area of the face or body that is being treated. Results last from 1 year up to 5 years.
The procedure is typically very safe, however, no procedure is without risk. Minor side effects are rare and may include infection, bruising, swelling, tenderness, numbness, and slight asymmetry. Occasionally a suture can show itself just below the skin. Most of these potential problems resolve over the following weeks to months after the procedure.
This depends on the area being treated and the Threads and methods used. Most people can return back to normal activities the next day. Mild swelling and bruising can happen and cover-up make-up may be necessary for a few days to weeks. Strenuous exercise is not recommended since straining right after the procedure may move the threads.
